West Link Park
In 2006, Terracap acquired West Link Park for $23.5 million. The 30.6-acre property in Edmonton, Alberta is over 70% developed on a land area basis. The property sits on one of Edmonton’s busiest thoroughfares, at 170th Street, bounded by Mayfield Road, 107th Avenue and 109th Avenue, making it a prime strategic business opportunity for hospitality, office and retail uses. The property was initially purchased through an agreement from Finning International Inc. to build an 80,000 square foot office space. The remaining 500,000 square feet now serve as additional Class A office space, 80,000+ square feet of retail space, and a 126-room Staybridge extended stay hotel by IHG. The property is now home to tenants such as Finning International, Golder Associates, the Business Development Corporation, Service Canada, and Ricoh (in a 30,000 square foot office space), as well as major retailers including TD Bank, IHOP, Fionn MacCool’s and Dairy Queen.
Sustainability
Terracap is embarking on a program to ensure that all our properties implement initiatives that adhere to principles of environmental sustainability where practical and these initiatives are representative of ongoing efforts to implement a comprehensive program. The Brooks Landing Centre has undergone a complete interior lighting retrofit to boost energy efficiency and is adding photo sensors and LED lighting upgrades to exterior areas. The Centre also features an EV charging station and convenient access to public transit and the Departure Bay Ferry Terminal. Recycling bins are available for bottles, cans, and cardboard.
